After opening the Karlovac transversal today Bypass, 1958. year showed a need for accommodation on half of the tracks (the course was 76 km long) near Ječmišta. Responsible sources of drinking water for the new location, first imagined the mountain shelter, was elected locality Vodice.

Home construction begins 18/07/1959. year with great effort and commitment of most members of society. The home is committed to the use of the 1961st year. Godine 1977. The access to upgrade and expand the home to Vodice in order to bring water and electricity and provide sleeping for up to 70 hikers. Unfortunately the plans are fully managed and the capacity of the home approximately 50 beds without electricity and water in the house.

At home it offers simpler restaurants offer food and drinks. Larger groups need to pre-announce.

The lodge is open every Saturday and Sunday and holidays during the period from 01.04. to 30.10. in the current year from 10.00 to 17.00 hours.
