Krka National Park was proclaimed in 1985. vol. and the seventh national park in Croatia.

National Park is a spacious, largely unchanged region of exceptional and multifaceted natural value, and includes one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. It is intended primarily for scientific, cultural, educational, recreational, and for any visitors and tourist activities.

Krka National Park is located in the area of Sibenik-Knin County and encompasses an area of 109 km2 of the most beautiful waterfalls of the river and lower river Čikole. National park was declared in 1985. vol. and seventh in Croatia, while some parts of the river Krka protected since 1948. year.

From the flooded part of the mouth of the Krka is long, about 72.5 km in length on 22 Rijeka in Croatia. Originating in the foothills of the Dinaric Mountains, 3.5 km northeast of Knin. With seven waterfalls and a total drop of 242 m, Krka is a natural phenomenon. Travertine Krka waterfalls are the fundamental phenomenon of this river.

Krka National Park is open year round and it is possible to visit by water, along a dirt road and hiking trails.
