Under rule of Kačić dukes from XII till XIV century, SLANICA was safe refuge for famous Omiš pirates. After XIV century, when the Turks ruled over Omiš and Poljica neighbourhood, SLANICA was place where Omiš citizens and Turkstraded salt, there from SLANICA got its name.

KAŠTIL SLANICA offers domestic specialties: bread and meals under peka (meals baked under the lid and ashes), froggs, eel, trout, fresh water crabs, sea and game specialties..

We organize weddings and other celebrations up to 180 persons.
