Holiday house Katarina is located in the mountainous part of Croatia, along the river Kupa (but also only 60 km from the sea). It is a wooden house with a total area of 72m2, built in 2008. It has two bedrooms with two beds and two sofa beds, kitchen with dining room and living room, bathroom, toilet and balcony overlooking the river Kupa.
The house is located in a quiet, almost deserted town Doluš. It is surrounded by forest. Doluš is a village where the remains of its rich past from the period when rural life and human activities were still flourishing in the villages along the Kupa are visible. Neighboring villages along the macadam road are full of interesting details and panoramas. To the interesting old church of St. Peter and Paul in Podstene is a 20-minute walk away. On the Croatian side of the Kupa above Doluš, there is a series of high rocks with a beautiful view of the Kupa valley. The nature of the Kupa valley is clean and preserved. Former arable land and meadows are slowly inhabited by forests, so the flora and fauna of this area is interesting, rich and diverse.
The place is suitable for visitors who come to Gorski kotar for its natural sights, for fishermen, hunters, kayakers, hikers and hikers, walkers, swimmers and families.
The facility can be reached from the direction of Zagreb (about 40 minutes drive from the toll station Vrbovsko on the A6 motorway), or from the south (about 30 minutes drive from the toll station Lučice on the A6 motorway). The last 1600 meters to the building is an unpaved macadam road. The nearest larger places with the necessary infrastructure (bakery, shop, gas station, restaurant) are Brod na Kupi and Fara (Slovenia), about 5 km away. The nearest town is Delnice, where there is an infirmary, shops and a shopping center, a skating rink, a toboggan run and a ski resort, and a swimming pool in the winter.
