Vlasic is a high mountain barrier that, like a huge fortress, looms over the surroundings. It occupies a significant place in the tourist offer of this area thanks to its forests, pastures and numerous springs. The highest peak Paljenik reaches 1943 meters above sea level.
This mountain beauty is located in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and even during the Austro-Hungarian rule it was recognized as an excellent tourist center. The area of Devečani (1760m) and the top of Galica are attractive destinations for mountaineers, and they have well-marked mountain trails.
In Babanovac (1260m), which is connected to Travnik by an asphalt road 20 km long, there is a famous center for winter sports, which has 5 ski lifts, ski trails in the total length of 15 km and 4 ski jumps . Forested pasture areas with ski lifts are excellent trails for alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding and sledding.
